HDD Driling

A GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK
I ENGINEERING WORK & DOCUMENTs
1 Verify and confirm detailed design the wall thickness of pipeline for HDD section 
2 Verify and confirm detailed design the minimum allowable bending radius for HDD section 
3 Verify and confirm calculation of stresses, HDD coating, ect,...for HDD section 
4 Calculation sheets for construction design (if nessessary)
II MATERIAL SUPPLY AND CONSTRUCTION WORK
2.1 All materials (exluding pipeline material & other material supplied by PTSC), construction activities shall be followed in full compliance with Owner’S and/or CONTRACTOR’S standards & specifications
2.2 Main material : Pipeline material, cathodic protection, FOC system
2.3 Sand, gravel, crushed stone and filling soil, bentonite etc. for temporary and permanent usage, if required
2.4 Setting out for construction & pipeline directional drilling works
2.5 Drilled hole-HDD work:  
■   The work shall include, but not be limited to complete pilling work, base cleaning etc.
2.6 Bentonite slurry
■   Submition all material's quanlity certificates
■   Final inspection 
■   Mixing, using, re-using, collection and remove of waste
■   Other related works 
2.7 Miscellanous: 
■   Grouting of pipelines (if required)
■   All other matertial work and associated activities until the completion of HDD Work
2.8 Repair of damaged portion of the road, chanel, bridge,... caused by caused by the Subcontractor’s faulty activities
2.9 All other miscellaneous material and consumable to complete HDD work.
2.10 Disposal of any waste materials arising from the HDD operation in accordance with the prevailing rules and regulations of the Owner/ local government.
2.11 Survey work
■    Maintenance and control of base bench mark 
■    Maintenance and provide temporary marking for Pipeline location. 
■    Preparing of Pile Location Report 
■    Survey for bench mark checking and adjustment, which is given by Contractor/Owner
3. TEST AND INSPECTION
3.2 Elevation and location checking
3.3 Concrete mixing, bentonite slurry,.. inspection & test
3.4 Test of concrete, sand, aggregate and water as per specification (if any)
3.5 Welding inspection, if any
3.6 Performing check and inspection in accordance with the construction specification & ITP (Inspection & Test Plan)
IV MANPOWER OF CONSTRUCTION, HSE, QA/QC... FOR MANAGEMENT, EXECUTION
B DETAIL  SCOPE OF WORK
I MANAGEMENT, LOGISTICS, & SITE PREPARATION
1 Peformamce with Client safety management plan.
2 Overall security responsibility for the work sites.
3 Management of any permit to work systems.
4 Provision of all required medical support for the work.
5 Visas, work permits or any permits related for HDD personnel.
6 Provide transport and cranes for transport of equipment from base to site and site to site.
7 Provide transportation both on and off site for HDD personnel.
8 Preparation of site boundaries including site fencing and
access gates.
9 Prepare access route along main road suitable for mob of HDD equipment.
10 Prepare suitable stable platform for rig and equipment, as per design in the site-specific construction procedures.
11 Construction of water of drilling fluid storage ponds or bunded areas for expected displacement and spoil requirements.
12 Obtain additional work area if required and stated in the site-specific construction procedures.
13 Provide and install dead man for rig anchor at each HDD site as per design.
14 Provide traffic control personnel, signage, lighting, and barriers as required by project HSE.
15 Provide site security, site office and mess for HDD use, waste skips for general and oily waste, site lighting, site welfare, and mess facilities.
II PRE-CONSTRUCTION
1 Sub-Contractor supplied equipment, employe insurances and medical cover.
2 Provide Contractor’s All-Risk insurance for the works as specified.
3 Provide alignment drawings, design detail and data sufficient to design & execute HDD works.
4 Identify type, size and location of existing underground utilities in proximity to each crossing.
5 Sufficient topographic and geotechnical surveys to allow for HDD design and methodology.
6 Provide profile design drawings for technical approval.
7 Provide HDD engineering including pull force, over-bend design, rig anchor design (Including FOC system pull back)
8 Provide design of HDD rig anchor/deadman.
9 Prepare construction, environmental / HSE plans, and JSEA for the HDD scope of work.
10 Review / comment HDD engineering, design, methodology, and procedures.
11 Identify & obtain permits, licenses, permission, including landowner / department negotiation.
12 Mobilisation of equipment in Country
13 Customs clearance and duties.
14 Obtain transport permits, passes, and authorizations for movement of HDD equipment.
15 Alignment and construction survey machines.
16 Survey HDD rig alignment and coil survey and set out.
III DRILLING OPERATIONS
1 Provide all HDD drilling equipment required to execute the drilling works excluding Client provided items.
2 Provide spare   parts and maintenance to ensure continuous reliability of HDD equipment.
3 Provide all ancillary equipment and power supply 
4 Supply fuel and refuelling of all HDD plant and equipment as estimated
5 Inspection and pre-project testing of HDD plant and equipment.
6 Provide due expertise, engineering, supervision, HSE, and management for all HDD operations.
7 Provide all drilling personnel mobilisation to project.
8 Provide qualified safety advisors if required during drilling operations.
9 Perform down-hole surveying for HDD sections.
10 Complete pilot hole, reaming and product pipe installation and FOC strings
11 Provide all down-hole tooling and drilling consumables.
12 Supply drilling fluids and drill fluid additives required to carry out drilling operations except
13 Supply fresh water to site or extract water from a suitable water source or mains supply at the rates
14 On-site monitoring of drilling frac-outs or in advertent returns to the surface.
15 Provide pumping and hose equipment and personnel to respond to frac-outs to the surface.
16 Provide liquid waste truck or vacuum truck to transport frac out waste to rig sites for processing on each site.
17 Supply of emergency major spill equipment as required by the project.
18 Locate suitable dumpsites and comply with environmental regulations for waste drilling fluid 
19 Transport and disposal of used drilling fluids and cuttings 
20 Provide ‘as-built’ drawings for the installed directional drills.
21 Site clean-up on completion of HDD works.
22 Site reinstatement after tie-in activities.
23 Provide transport and cranes for demobilisation of equipment from site to site.
24 Submit daily work activity report to Client
IV PIPE STRING FABRICATION & FIBER OPTIC COMNUNICATIONS (FOC) SYSTEM
1 String, weld, coat, NDT and pre/post hydo-test pipe section to be installed by HDD in a single string.
2 Provide pipe rollers and roller cradles for stringing and crawler/mobile crane
3 Position string on rollers and crawler/mobile crane
4 Provide pulling heads to HDD design.
5 Weld pulling heads to pipe string.
6 Install HDD's supplied rope during hydro-test dewatering for buoyancy control pipe (where required).
7 Provide plant to form calculated over-bend.
8 Control and supervision of HDD pipe string overbend during pullback into the completed borehole.
9 Monitoring of installation forces during installation of product pipe into drilled hole.
10 QC, holiday detection and coating repair during pullback.
11 Coating integrity testing after installation.
12 Monitoring of pipeline during pullback operations (Pipeline & FOC strings)
13 Tie-ins including pits and reinstatement
14 Installation permanent cathodic protection measures for installed HDD pipe strings.
15 Supply & Install FOC system to Pipe string before pull back on HDD pipe strings.
